Art2Canvas uses a small number of browser-storage mechanisms needed to operate the storefront and remember user choices.
ESSENTIAL SESSION COOKIE
The a2c_session cookie supports security, CSRF protection, the basket, saved-design references, account access and production-access state. It is a first-party cookie and is required for core site functions.
LANGUAGE, COUNTRY AND CURRENCY
Preference cookies can remember the language, country and currency mode selected by the visitor. They are used to present the site and prices consistently on later visits. The current implementation can retain these preferences for up to one year.
THEME
Browser local storage can remember whether the visitor selected the light or dark appearance.
MARKET DETECTION
Where available, Art2Canvas may use a country code supplied by the hosting or network environment. If it is unavailable, the server may use a configured IP-to-country service to determine a country code. This is used for presentation defaults and does not replace the delivery address entered at checkout.
FIRST-PARTY VISITOR STATISTICS
If you choose “Allow statistics”, Art2Canvas uses first-party browser storage to remember that choice and a random anonymous visitor identifier. We record one-way hashed visitor and visit identifiers, clean page paths, displayed language, country code supplied by the hosting/network environment, referring domain or internal path, and visible engagement time. We do not store your full IP address, email address, advertising identifiers or a user-agent fingerprint for analytics. Raw analytics events are retained for approximately 13 months and are used only to understand site usage and improve Art2Canvas. You can change this choice at any time using Analytics settings.
You can remove cookies or local-storage values through your browser settings, but deleting essential session data can empty or disconnect browser-scoped baskets and saved-design references.
